Red Christmas...?
We had a Red Christmas this year as you can see from the picture above.
Well, not really, the picture is taken in the afternoon at sunset last Sunday when the sun broke through the clouds as it stopped snowing. White balance set on "clouds" and Ingela got exactly the colour shade of our surroundings at that very moment.

Wow, you have one very snowy world there Hans. Ours has all gone, but only to be replaced by the rain, sadly. I'm longing for just some blue sky and sunshine.
Lovely picture though, and I like the pinkish glow from the sunset.
It looks so beautiful. what great contrast the white white snow and the red! :)
Happy New Year Hans to yours. xo
I forgot to say it too! Happy New Year Hans! Love to Ingela as well x
Oh, the eerie pink strikes again!
Very beautiful!
I have a similar photo on my blog from back in November.
It was sunrise, though, and the sun against the clouds bathed our world in a lovely shade of rose!
Isn't it great when you can capture the entire mood with the lense?
xx
rather, make that September...
Hi Dale, yes I rember that picture of yours. It's a pity that people don't take the time to play around with the settings on their digital cameras. The most people set their dials on "A" like everything automatic an then you get pictures that are "corrected" for weird colors etc.
That picture was taken with colour balance set to "Cloudy" instead of automatic.
Yes Hans, my goal is to have the photo turn out exactly as I see it before it is captured.
Otherwise, why capture it in the first place?
