Afterwards we went home to our place for coffee and three different kinds of desserts.
And then followed the unavoidable SingStar competition:
The old lead singer :)
Ian
Lukas and Markus
Lukas and Ian
Ingela, the very excited listener, sewing together her granny square afghan.
The party continued the following Friday, but that is a different story :)

Looks like a grand celebration for your birthday! Enjoyed the photos.
Who was victorious in the SingStar competition? :) It sure sounds like a wonderful party and that great time was had by all!
What fun Hans! That's what every family should do on a birthday - not sit in a circle and eat cake the way they do it here..;-) I love your description of your celebrations. It sounds and looks as if you are all very close.
By the way, I am visiting Helsinki next year for a long weekend. This is why I asked where you lived as I thought I might be able to visit you, but sadly I think you are too far away to make it practical since I'm staying with a friend, and will almost certainly see our Maria too. I only have four days ;-(
Grace,
Yup! We celebrated for one week and then some...
Maria,
Ingela swept the floor with everybody, as usual... :)
Val,
There was also a lot of cake eating going on for several days and I have a hard time getting rid of all the extra kilos around my waist! It is soon Christmas and that means more cake, kilos &c...
How nice to hear that you are coming to Finland next year! We are usually going down to Helsinki to visit my son Markus one or two times a year, most probably during the summer holidays in July but also sometimes in the winter as well.
Keep me informed about your schedule as to possibly synchronise our visits to Helsinki!
It is though in excess of 400 km distance between here and Helsinki and driving by car is boring, you would mostly see only woods, flight connections are expensive but train would be a possibility if you would like to see something else than H:ki
Okay Hans, I'll keep you posted! I must admit, it would be really great to see you too if it's at all possible. Four days isn't all that long though, and my friend has promised me a trip to Tallin.
OK Val,
I understand you have to squeeze in a lot in only four days but keep me posted anyway!
Hans
