Pete Townshends major opus "Quadrophenia" takes to the stage in Plymouth UK on Saturday.
Wish I were there!
I did not own a scooter in the sixties, I owned a bloody old Russian Izhevsk-49 motorbike, that was the only stuff on two wheels I could afford...
My bike looked like this that I found at: http://www.overlocker.narod.ru/ij-49/izh-49.htm

a 49'er - what a beauty ;)
Well.... Izh-49 was a type designation not the year -49 :)
In fact the Izh-49 was released 1951 and my bike was produced 1952. But 1949 was a very good year indeed!
:)
who says i was talking about the bike... ;)
I wish I could be there too. I hope it is a fantastic opening night. :)
Oh yes, wouldn't it be great to have been there too! And I love your bike! I never cared for scooters when I was young, but now I have a small Vespa pk50.
