Hans!! It's far too long since I've been here, and look what you get up to while I'm away...throwing yourself off ladders to get attention..well I dunno ;-)

I'm so sorry I've been absent so long. Too many projects on the go at once and as you saw, even my writing was put on hold for a couple of months.

Still, I've caught up a bit, and see you had a great time at the Bruce Springsteen concert. Sounds like a great one and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Your bedroom wall looks very cool! I know all about makeovers at the moment..groan! And it's not over yet.

Anyway, I hope you and your lovely Ingela are enjoying the summer and doing some good things together. Thanks for popping by mine and reading the latest but small offering on Arie's progress. I'll try and do more this weekend....

Hi Val,
tell me about projects... :)
And "throwing myself off ladders" was completely unnecessary and slowed some projects down big time the very first days after the incident because I could not really handle a hammer, saw or screwdriver from the beginning.
I still have problems finding a good sleeping position and if I do and fall asleep I will wake up when I roll over onto the sore side of my chest.
Anyway, the summer holidays are now gone and I'm back to my regular work here, the weather has gone completely sour, raining and blowing mostly from the north and the temperature hardly reaches 15 degrees C in the afternoons, it is very much like the end of September here and not the beginning of August.
Global warming, my arse.... :(

Argh, I'm sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad you didn't get seriously injured though. Speedy recovery!

Ouch! I'm glad you weren't badly hurt. I'm sending you some Sleeman's medicine to assure a full recovery.

Maria,
Thank you! I'm recovering well, it's getting easier from day to day to do physical exercises.
Anne-Marie,
A pint of Sleemans Honey Brown would be a real Miracle Cure :)

Oh dear, Hans!

I hope you are recovering. It's been far too long since I've visited.

Take care and I hope the rest of the summer takes good care of you.

Love
Dale

Dear Hans
I just read my last comment on your post here, and realise I sounded horribly unsympathetic. Shame on me! I do hope you're feeling better now and that your back has recovered fully. This summer has been one of the coldest and wettest I can remember here in NL, so I tend to agree with your comment about global warming...rear ends and all.

We have been very busy throughout July and most of August but are now taking a much needed (if not well earned) break in Zeeuws Vlanderen where I'm lucky enough to have a small cottage. Even still, we have been painting up ladders here too, but somehow things on a house seem less complicated than on a boat and it's all quite restful. I've also had time to write which has been bliss, so watch out for more Arie updates.

Take care and let us know how you are doing.

Hi Val,
Yes I'm feeling much better, almost fully recovered, just a little sore at the very spot of impact, otherwise I can move and work like I used to.

Enjoy your well deserved break and I will go and look what Arie and Dimitri are up to :)

Glad to know you are better Hans. Just popped by to see if there was any new news, so this is at least improvement.
