The Who rocked Helsinki
The Who rocked Helsinki tonight, the band was in the form of their life and Roger´s voice was nearly as good as new!
I will return with a complete setlist when I´ve calmed down and that could last for a few days. :)
We sat in the second row opposite Pete and the pictures above are taken by my wife, Ingela, or at least with her camera. The camera was operated by everybody in the famiy to get some good shots from different angles.
My boys got a plectrum each and the younger one one of Zak´s drumsticks.
We are very happy!
Thank you guys!

Thanks for sharing your photos with us, Hans! Very nice. :-) Looking forward to a fuller report of this final show.
I would've posted my photos from the Indianapolis show last March but Pete and Roger would've been about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
You were lucky to be so close!! Glad you had a great time. How's your heartrate now? How are your ears? LOL
- Lucy.
Nice blog, btw. Minimalistic and clean. :-)
Hans,
Great pictures ~ great seats.
Sounds like you had an incredible time! I'm so happy for you.
Isn't it funny how Who fans get so excited about other Who fans seeing the Who?
Thanks for putting the pictures up so quickly ~ almost makes me feel like I was there!
If and when you fall asleep ~ sweet dreams :)
couldn't you have got better seats than that?
Lollers...!
Great photos Hans, sounds like quite a night.
What a bloody brilliant gig that was :-)
Lucy,
We got so close because we used the fan club preasale at thewhotour.com and I sat there with the computer clock counting down to the time when the presale started but it seems that Maria, aka el.wisty hit me with some milliseconds because she was in the absolute front seat, one row ahead and some seats to the left of us.
Minimalistic..? LOL :)
Well it might be somewhat minimalistic because my mother tongue is not Enlish and I don´t have that command of the English language so I could write chapters up and down the blog like Townshend, "I am that I am" or even "el.wisty". That´s why it need to be kept minimalistic.
I am blogging in my mother tongue on the finnish public service radio, YLE:s radio channel X3M:s website (yle.x3m.fi) and Ingela, my wife, often reminds me of how important it is to keep a blog text or a comment short :)
I may sometimes get carried away when allowed to use my own language...
My heart feels quite ok now that we are all at home again
Janice,
Yes, it is true that when fans of the Who get together they can be stuck discussing Who-stuff for indefinite amount of time.
I will soon post some more pics on my myspace site.
I fell asleep quite easy last night and no problem with any tinnitus and/or the like.
Gary,
to get better seating I should have jumped over the fence in front of the stage and seated myself in the lap of some guard! :)
El.Wisty,
I agree upon that! All the rumours about Roger´s trouble with his voice this year scared me from the beginning but after a few tunes it was clear to me that this will be something extraorinary!
Thanks to the Helsinki weather that turned out fine during the day and the fact that it was a indoors gig.
