Hi Hans
Thank you for inviting me to your blog during the chat.
It's thanks to Maria a.k.a. E.L. Wisty that I look with a growing interest at Finland. Now there you are giving me more beautiful images to watch - and I like what I see.
I also try to work out where Smedsby lies, but there are four of them, and the term Korsholm is not used by Multimap.
Anyway, thanks for the images - I hope you'll be posting more!

Hi koos f
Welcome to my blog! Smedsby is the administrativ center of Korsholm which is surrounding the city of Wasa on nearly all sides.
As my mother tongue is swedish, I generally use the swedish names for places in Finland. Smedsby in Finnish is Sepänkylä. Korsholm is Mustasaari in finnish. The city of Vasa is Vaasa in finnish. Got its name from the swedish king in the beginning of the 17Th century and he was a member of the house of Wasa.
Smedsby-Sepänkylä is located immediately outside Vasa-Vaasa in direction north-east.
Try the zip-code 65610 and you will find the post-office close to our house!
The pictures from the waterfront are from the archipelago where the gulf of Bothnia is at its narrowest. I was born there, out on an island named Björkö or it may be Bjorko on your maps... :)
I will be posting pictures when find something more worth posting in my archieves.
